In Minecraft, players can explore a blocky, procedurally generated 3D world with virtually unlimited terrain and discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and construct structures, earthworks, and machines. In addition to fighting hostile mobs, players can also cooperate or compete with other players in the same world, depending on their game mode. Survival mode (in which players have to acquire resources for building in the world and maintaining health) and creative mode (in which players have unlimited resources and the ability to fly) are two of the game modes. A wide variety of user-generated content is also available, including mods, servers, skins, texture packs, and custom maps.
